City hospital, Moscow

More than seventy sofas and a hundred and thirty armchairs for the public areas of a new hospital building, made and installed in 32 days so that the opening date did not move.
Entrance halls, the blood collection area, the canteen and the café each needed their own furniture, and all of it had to meet hospital hygiene rules: surfaces that take disinfectants and no gaps where dust can collect. A volume like this normally takes at least two months, so the factory ran three shifts with no days off.

Scope of supply
Built for disinfectant, rush hours and a fixed opening date.
All fabrics and leathers carry the certification required for medical institutions and can be washed with standard hospital disinfectants without fading or cracking.
Entrance sofas got extra strength in welds and fixings, because at peak hours more people sit on them than the seat count suggests.
The building was not yet fully commissioned and the goods lifts worked on and off, so the large sofas went up the stairs knocked down and were assembled in the rooms.
We also made and fitted protective panels on the walls behind the sofas in the blood collection area. The hospital later noted this as a useful addition.
